Raising Adults

Years ago, when my now 3 year old was a baby, my husband and I read the book Premeditated Parenting (which I totally recommend, by the way). In one section of it, the author talks about what you want your teenage child to be like. Have you ever stopped to think about that?! They encouraged us to sit down and write out a list with characteristics we want our 16 year old to have. Now, when you have an infant, it’s hard to imagine that they will ever grow up to be that age, but it’s a good exercise. When you really start to think about the fact that you are raising an adult, it becomes a lot easier to be intentional.
Head over to the Project: On Purpose site today to check out the rest of my post!
